Temple trust also offers VIP darshan incentive to boost donations for cardiac healthcare scheme
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which manages the world-renowned Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Tirumala, has announced a major relaxation in its darshan rules, providing significant relief to Non-Resident Indian (NRI) devotees.
Under the revised guidelines, NRIs can now avail themselves of the special Supatham entry for darshan within 90 days of their arrival in India. The earlier rule required devotees to use the facility within 30 days of entering the country.
The decision comes in response to long-standing requests from the NRI community, many of whom found the previous 30-day limit restrictive. Devotees travelling from overseas often visit India for extended periods and may not be able to reach Tirumala immediately after arrival. The extension is expected to make the darshan process more convenient for thousands of overseas devotees.
TTD officials said the revised eligibility period has come into effect immediately. The move is aimed at improving accessibility while ensuring a smoother pilgrimage experience for devotees visiting from abroad.
In a separate announcement, the temple trust has introduced a new incentive to encourage contributions to the Appanna Hrudaya Scheme, a charitable initiative that funds life-saving heart surgeries for underprivileged patients free of cost.

Under the updated policy, individuals donating Rs. 1 lakh to the Appanna Hrudaya Trust will be eligible for VIP Break Darshan privileges for up to five people

TTD hopes the incentive will encourage greater public participation and help strengthen funding for the healthcare programme
The Appanna Hrudaya Scheme has received growing support from devotees since its launch, with contributions helping finance cardiac treatments for patients in need. TTD believes the latest initiative will further increase donations and expand the scheme’s ability to support more beneficiaries in the future.
The twin announcements reflect TTD’s efforts to improve services for devotees while strengthening its charitable and welfare activities.
