Indian nationals advised to complete urgent applications before temporary service halt from June 26 to June 30
Indian passport, visa and consular services across the United Arab Emirates will be temporarily suspended for five days from June 26 to June 30 as India prepares to transition to a new outsourced service provider for these services. The announcement was made by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi ahead of the changeover scheduled for July 1.
The temporary suspension will affect routine passport, visa, attestation and other consular applications processed through outsourced service centres in the UAE. However, Indian authorities have clarified that emergency services will continue to be available during the transition period to assist individuals facing urgent situations.
From July 1, Al Hind Tours and Travels LLC will become the sole outsourced service provider for Indian passport, visa and consular services across all seven emirates. The company will replace the existing providers, BLS International Services Ltd and SGIVS Global, following a tendering and selection process conducted by the Indian government.

All applications lodged on or after July 1 will be processed through centres operated by the new provider
The transition is expected to affect millions of Indian expatriates living in the UAE, one of the largest overseas Indian communities in the world. Earlier announcements indicated that the new service network would include multiple dedicated visa and consular service centres across the country, aimed at improving accessibility and service delivery.
The Embassy has urged applicants to follow official advisories and verify information through authorised channels as the transition progresses.
