An Indian-origin restaurant owner was shot dead in London in what police believe may be a targeted attack, with the incident reported within the past 24 hours. The victim, who operated a popular dining establishment in East London, was attacked late at night while closing his business premises.
According to police reports, an unidentified assailant approached the victim on foot and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene. Emergency services responded quickly, but the victim succumbed to his injuries shortly after being transported to hospital. Investigators have launched a full homicide probe and are reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding streets and nearby businesses.
