New digital system combines visa, flights and accommodation in a single booking as Kingdom targets more international visitors
Saudi Arabia has introduced a new digital “Package Visa” aimed at making travel easier for international tourists, with India among the first countries included in the pilot rollout. The initiative allows eligible travellers to obtain a tourist visa while booking a complete travel package through authorised tourism service providers.
The new system integrates visa processing with flights, hotel accommodation and selected tourism experiences into a single online booking. Instead of submitting separate applications for travel and visas, visitors can complete the entire process through one platform, reducing paperwork and simplifying travel planning.
The pilot programme is currently available in selected markets, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Jordan, Egypt and Mexico. Travel packages are reported to begin at around SAR 4,000, although prices will vary depending on destination, travel dates and the services included.

Saudi authorities say the initiative forms part of the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 strategy, which seeks to diversify the economy by expanding tourism and attracting more overseas visitors

The government has introduced several travel reforms in recent years, including electronic visas and visa-on-arrival facilities for eligible travellers, with the new Package Visa building on those measures
For Indian travellers, the Package Visa is expected to make leisure trips to Saudi Arabia more convenient by offering an all-inclusive booking option. Travel agencies are also expected to benefit by providing bundled services that combine transport, accommodation and sightseeing with visa processing.
Saudi Arabia has been investing heavily in tourism infrastructure and promoting destinations beyond religious pilgrimage, including heritage sites, coastal resorts and large-scale developments such as NEOM. Officials have indicated that the Package Visa will be expanded to additional international markets after the initial rollout, further supporting the country’s ambition to become a leading global tourism destination.
