In a major boost in the area of skill development, the Indian State of Uttar Pradesh has adopted a farsighted approach by setting up training centres to train unskilled workers and make them skilled so that they can meet the international job requirements and work anywhere in the world.
According to the Minister for MSME, Investment and NRI, Siddharth Nath Singh, a Specified Skilled Workers Programme has been made in Japan. Under this, 3.14 lakh skilled workers from across the world will be trained for 14 sectors.

Overseas Manpower Recruitment Agency has been linked with e-district and employment portal to provide skilled human resources abroad. These workers will probably be sent to Japan in December.
